John Allen Muhammad was executed Tuesday, November 10, on the charge of killing 10 people and wounding 3 in the course of a three week period in October 2002. Muhammad and his accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, would randomly gun down men and women going about their lives in a normal fashion. 53-year-old Dean Meyers was shot while pumping gas into his car. Lori Ann Lewis-Rivera, was gunned down while vacuuming her van. Jerry Taylor was killed on a golf course.Muhammad has always claimed innocence, although he has never shown any sympathy to those whose family members and friends were lost due to these sniper attacks. In a letter written to his first wife shortly before the execution, Muhammad wrote:
"Carol, I miss my family for the past eight years. I don't want to be missed the day that these devils murder my innocent black ass."
